ABOUT THIS ONE DAY EVENT
If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed by your child’s challenging behaviors, you’re not alone. This one-day class begins with an approachable introduction to what autism is and how it may affect communication, sensory experiences, learning, and daily life. Understanding your child’s unique needs gives you a stronger foundation for deciding how to support them.
From there, you’ll be introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and practical strategies you can use in everyday routines. You’ll learn to notice patterns in behavior, encourage helpful skills, prevent some challenging moments, and respond more effectively when they happen. You’ll leave with ideas to try at home and a clearer starting point for supporting your child and family.
ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Dr. Lola Plucer-Rosario has worked in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for more than 15 years, serving as a clinical director, regional supervisor, and mentor to teachers, parents, and BCBAs across Guam, Hawai‘i, the islands of Micronesia, and the U.S. mainland.
Her experience includes helping families, schools, healthcare settings, and community organizations better understand autism, address challenging behaviors, build meaningful skills, and create practical supports for children with autism. Her work also includes autism evaluations, school and government consultation, professional training, and the development of programs and services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Through years of working directly with families, Dr. Lola understands that parents need more than information—they need strategies that make sense in everyday life. She designed Autism & Everyday ABA to help parents first build a better understanding of autism and their child’s individual needs, and then learn practical ABA strategies they can use at home and in daily routines.
Her goal is to make ABA approachable, practical, and useful, so families leave with greater understanding, concrete tools, and a clearer path for supporting their child’s growth.
