ABOUT THIS ONE DAY EVENT If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed by your child’s challenging behaviors, you’re not alone. This one-day class begins with an approachable introduction to what autism is and how it may affect communication, sensory experiences, learning, and daily life. Understanding your child’s unique needs gives you a stronger foundation for deciding how to support them. From there, you’ll be introduced to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and practical strategies you can use in everyday routines. You’ll learn to notice patterns in behavior, encourage helpful skills, prevent some challenging moments, and respond more effectively when they happen. You’ll leave with ideas to try at home and a clearer starting point for supporting your child and family. ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR Dr. Lola Plucer-Rosario has worked in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for more than 15 years, serving as a clinical director, regional supervisor, and mentor to teachers, parents, and BCBAs across Guam, Hawai‘i, the islands of Micronesia, and the U.S. mainland. Her experience includes helping families, schools, healthcare settings, and community organizations better understand autism, address challenging behaviors, build meaningful skills, and create practical supports for children with autism. Her work also includes autism evaluations, school and government consultation, professional training, and the development of programs and services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Through years of working directly with families, Dr. Lola understands that parents need more than information—they need strategies that make sense in everyday life. She designed Autism & Everyday ABA to help parents first build a better understanding of autism and their child’s individual needs, and then learn practical ABA strategies they can use at home and in daily routines. Her goal is to make ABA approachable, practical, and useful, so families leave with greater understanding, concrete tools, and a clearer path for supporting their child’s growth. Blue Ocean Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Behavioral Health Provider to serve children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across Guam. The provider will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team to deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed outpatient care. Responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual, family, couples, and group therapy, completing risk assessments and safety planning, and maintaining timely clinical documentation. The provider may also conduct behavioral health or psychological evaluations, facilitate grief and support groups, and provide corporate behavioral health presentations, trainings, and consultations. Qualifications : Master’ s or doctoral degree in a behavioral health field and current Guam licensure as an LPC, LMHC, MFT, LCSW, or Psychologist. Experience with trauma, children and families, psychological or behavioral health evaluations, group facilitation, or professional training is preferred. Clinical Psychologist Position Summary Blue Ocean Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed clinical psychologist to provide psychological assessment, psychotherapy, consultation, and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary outpatient practice. The psychologist will serve children, adolescents, and adults referred by families, medical providers, schools, courts, Child Protective Services, and community agencies. Primary Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and differential diagnostic assessments. Select, administer, score, and interpret appropriate psychological measures. Integrate interviews, records, observations, collateral information, and test findings into clear psychological reports. Complete court-ordered and child-protection-related evaluations within professional and ethical boundaries. Provide feedback and practical recommendations to clients, families, providers, schools, and referral agencies. Provide psychotherapy within areas of competence. Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and referrals to appropriate levels of care. Provide consultation and supervision to therapists, post-graduate clinicians, and interns when assigned. The therapist will work with diverse clients experiencing concerns ranging from life transitions and relationship difficulties to complex trauma, emotional and behavioral disorders, and child-protection involvement. Primary Responsibilities Conduct intake, psychosocial, diagnostic, and risk assessments. Provide individual, couples, family, child, and group therapy. Develop and regularly update individualized treatment plans. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Complete behavioral health evaluations, treatment summaries, progress reports, and court reports within professional scope. Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and referrals to higher levels of care. Coordinate care with families, schools, physicians, social workers, courts, and community agencies. Participate in clinical consultation, supervision, training, and quality-improvement activities. Practice in a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, ethical, and client-centered manner. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field. Current Guam behavioral health license or eligibility for Guam licensure. Experience providing psychotherapy and clinical assessment. Strong clinical writing, communication, and case-management skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse and complex client populations. Experience with children, families, trauma, court-involved cases, or specialized treatment modalities is preferred. Apply Now
