We’re excited to share some great news from the Blue Ocean Medical Group family! Two outstanding providers have joined our team — Dr. Jim Pecsok, MD, Family Physician, and Dr. Ashley Ormond, PsyD, Pediatric Clinical Psychologist. Their arrival strengthens our mission to provide accessible, high-quality care for every family in Guam — from primary medical needs to emotional and behavioral wellness. We’re so proud to have Dr. Pecsok and Dr. Ormond join our team. Their expertise, compassion, and dedication reflect the heart of what Blue Ocean stands for: caring for our community, one patient at a time.
🩺 Meet Dr. Jim Pecsok, Family Physician
Dr. Pecsok comes to us with a strong background in family medicine and preventive care. He completed his medical training at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and residency at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health – St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington.
What patients love most about family medicine is that it’s all about relationships — and that’s exactly how Dr. Pecsok practices. He believes in listening first, helping patients understand their options, and building trust through consistency and compassion.
Whether it’s managing chronic conditions, getting your annual check-up, or stopping by for a walk-in visit, Dr. Pecsok is now seeing patients at our Dededo Clinic.
🧠Meet Dr. Ashley Ormond, Pediatric Clinical Psychologist
We’re also thrilled to introduce Dr. Ashley Ormond, the only pediatric clinical psychologist practicing in person on Guam! Originally from the mainland U.S., Dr. Ormond brings years of specialized experience helping children and teens thrive emotionally and behaviorally.
Her work focuses on children facing developmental, emotional, or behavioral challenges — and she partners closely with families to build understanding and lasting strategies for success. Having a dedicated pediatric psychologist here on island is a huge step forward for families who prefer in-person, locally available care.
Dr. Ormond is now accepting new patients through our Tumon Behavioral Health Clinic.

We’re excited to announce that this essential training course for parents and caregivers of children on the Autism Spectrum is now accessible to members of TakeCare, NetCare, and StayWell insurance. This course marks the beginning of a comprehensive treatment program for the ASD community, led by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Lola Plucer-Rosario.
With extensive experience and her work on the Guam HunterSpeak program, Lola brings valuable insights and expertise tailored to the unique needs of our island community.

New Pediatrician joins IHP Medical Team
Welcome Dr. Leia to our IHP family! Originally from Maryland, she has dedicated her career to providing urgent medical and holistic care to children and young adults up to 26 years of age. Now in Guam, Dr. Leia is eager connect with our island community and expand our pediatric services. In her time, she enjoys running and is passionate about young athletes with her expertise in sports injuries. Join us in giving Dr. Leia a warm welcome.
